Weekend at a Glance: 3/24/06-3/26/06

Friday: Saw the home team, GMU Patriots win another tournament game! Saw another band play with my friend, Amanda, at some place in Leesburg (make sure to bring your cowboy hat and holster if you ever go to this place). Oh, and I blew a chance with a chick that was probably interested in me earlier that night! I smacked myself in the head many times over that blunder - "I gave you a chance...and, you BLEW IT!" Bottomline: Kara was right!

Saturday: My lacrosse team (I coach a youth team) won their season opening game, 10-0!! I Went on my first outdoor rock climbing trip - it was an impromptu session at Carderrock. During which time I learned what a "water knot" is (didn't actually learn to tie one until the next day, though) - and no matter what you do..don't ever...I mean EVER...step on another person's rope. I hear in some countries, a person can get their foot cut off for committing such a crime. Then finally ate dinner at a good Italian place after multiple attempts at other local establishments (apparently nobody was cooking at home that night).

Sunday: Cleaned my house - "BORING!". Then, went on my second outdoor rock climbing trip to Great Falls, VA (Amanda came away with some gory pictures...next time bring the iodine). But I did learn to tie a "water knot"! Cancelled on my golf outing with the Waug - he was not a happy camper. "You'd kill a drifter just to go climb a rock." Watched the end of the GMU Patriots game....and take Fairfax, VA to the NCAA Final Four!!!!!!!!!!!!

Preview for next weekend: Could the Patriots win the "Big Dance"? Is poker going to make a return at Scott and Stacy's?? And, will that chick at Sweet Water show herself again??? Only one way to find out...right here, next week. Same time. Same place.
