I'm Back!!!

(not that anyone missed this blog)

I can't believe it's been since June 2006 that I last entered a post on this blog. So, I'd like to open up my first "comeback" post to the audience, and hear from you. What has been the most significant thing happen to you (good or bad) since June 2006?!

I'm Back!!! But Where are "You"??

Well, it's been a week since my last blog entry - and A LOT of you have not been commenting lately. "Angry Waug"...where have your angry rants been? And, Kara and Kevin?? We haven't heard from the "dynamic duo" in a while. Work been that busy? How long does it take to read a blog and then post a comment?? Hmmm...maybe 2 minutes. And, then what about the rest of you who read the blogs, but don't post. Even if you don't find the blog entry interesting or entertaining, you could at least comment something witty to make it entertaining for the rest of us.

Question of the day: Who would you want to trade lives with, for just one day?

A "Pat on the Back"!!

Today at my district meeting at work, I was named "Investigator of the Quarter" for January-March. There are 64 investigators in my district. I was also recognized by my supervisor for outstanding achievement in March. Yippeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, mark this as one of my non-humble moments :)

Name that Movie...

"Mr. McDowell! I was wondering if you caught last night's football game between the Packers of Green Bay and the Giants of New York?!"
"No, I didn't."
"Well, it was most exciting! In the end, the Giants of New York won by kicking an oblong ball through a big 'H'!"
"Son...I'm only going to say this one time. You want to keep working here...lay off the drugs."

Issue #1:

In keeping up with the "I want to hear from you" theme - I am picking one of the issues listed in my previous blog entry, and proposed some questions for you to respond.

Immigration and the Border controversy....

Should the U.S. have an open border policy? What would be the advantages and/or disadvatanges of an open border?

How has the U.S. benefited or been disadvantaged by the influx of illegal immigrants?

Should the U.S. secure the borders and enforce the current procedure to enter legally? If so, what would be an effective method?

How should the current 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. be handled? Guest worker program? Amnesty? Deportation? Do nothing?

What, if any, are the unintended consequences should the borders be left unsecure and the issue ignored?

Do you believe that current terror organizations have and/or are taking advantage of the ease in crossing the border illegally?

Weekend at a Glance: 4/7/06-4/9/06

Friday: Tired, Tired, Tired...so, didn't really do anything :(

Saturday: Rain, Rain, Rain...lacrosse game was cancelled, and was forced to do housework. Then, went over to Stacy and Scott's for burgers and cards - and, oh, the "toilet" humor was at its peak that night...not exactly "PG" conversation.

Sunday: Sunny, Sunny, Sunny....so, after doing yardwork and such, went out bike riding down along the GW Parkway alongside the Potomac. Caught some cool views of planes taking off down at National Airport. And, woah was it crowded along the trail y'day.

Preview for Next Weekend: On a very special episode of "Weekend at a Glance", J2 spends Easter Sunday with the family and sees young Sebastian laughing it up.
